Delhi manufacturer TVS Motor on Tuesday has reported a dip of 19.18 percent in profit for the 4th quarter ended March 31 at Rs 133.83 crore. The company had reported a profit of Rs 165.61 crore in Q4FY18. TVS’ earnings operations for Q4FY19 increased by 9.4 percent to Rs 4384.04 crore as against Rs 4007.24 crores during the period under review a year ago. EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 308.1 crore as compared with Rs 295.2 crore for the identical period in 2018, an increase of 4.4 percent. Overall sales for the quarter climbed 2 percent at 8.89 lakh units.
Motorcycle sales grew by 8.4 percent to 3.75 lakh units in Q4FY19 as compared with 3.46 lakh units in Q4 last year. On an annual Basis, gain for TVS Motor climbed 1.13 percent to Rs 670.14 crores from Rs 662.59 crore in FY18. Revenue from operations increased 17.34 percent to Rs 1551 8.63 crores in the year ended March 31. TVS retained 3rd largest manufacturer in India with 3, 136, 532 units of dispatches in FY19 and published a growth of 9.08 percent as compared with 2, 875, 466 units in FY18. There was a marginal increase of 0.4 percent in its market share of the Chennai based firm.
